CAC’s Signal Peak Campus
This event is a combination of the Skilled Trades Expo and Welding Demo Day, Career Fair, and College Fair. We off a hands-on event where high school students can explore careers, experience live demonstrations, and connect with employers and universities. From skilled trades, healthcare, education, technology, and more, this event highlights high-demand opportunities and showcases everything CAC has to offer. Plus, enjoy campus tours, networking, and a fun atmosphere.
9:30 – 9:50: Student Check-In
10:00 – 12:00: Three sessions exploring campus opportunities
Registration opens September 17th and closes October 17th.
Students must pre-register to select their preferred sessions. Walk-ins are welcome, but session options may be limited.
This is the 5th annual Skilled Trades Expo and Welding Day. Students will have an opportunity to experience the different Skilled Trades programs and hear from area employers and vendors in these fields.
Students can choose to attend this session the entire time they are here.

This session will provide a sneak peak of BIO205: Microbiology, a class that studies microscopic living organisms like bacteria and viruses and the infectious diseases that they cause. This session is a good fit for anyone interested in science or medicine. Attendees will have a chance to look at organisms under the microscope and growing in petri dishes, while also learning about the degree and career pathways that microbiology is a part of at the college.
General Biology is a fascinating and exploratory field that studies so many amazing aspects of nature! General Biology studies: cells, microorganisms, plants and animals, genetics, the human body, and so much more! Visit us to find out what we learn in General Biology, and how this course connects to future Biology courses and future Science careers. Come to explore with us through hands-on observations of: animal specimens, plant cells and bacteria under the microscope, laboratory items we use for student learning.
Welcome to the CAC Experience in Biology… an Intro to Anatomy and Physiology 201/202. In this session, we’ll explore the fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology and how they provide the foundation for understanding the human body. This session is especially valuable for students interested in pursuing healthcare pathways at Central Arizona College, such as Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Medical Research, and other health-related fields.
Unsure on how to apply to get accepted to college? Attend this session, where we’ll help you apply to Central Arizona College and receive information on next steps to getting a head on enrollment after high school graduation.
In this session, you can experience how Central Arizona College Police Department uses the MILO computer-based high-definition video and interactive scenarios system to practice firearms proficiency and critical decision-making skills. The scenario involved will be fictional zombie apocalypse training session.
This session allows students to observe nursing students in either lab, virtual reality lab or simulation. This session is limited in seat space so only sign up if intending to eventually apply to CAC nursing program. If you are interested in a pre-med or pre-nursing route, it is also recommended to sign up for one of the biology sessions.

Originating in Japan, haiku is a super short form of poetry that attempts to capture an experience in just 17 syllables or less. It’s also the perfect poetry for getting spooky! In our workshop, we’ll read, craft, and share our own spine-tingling “horror-ku” just in time for the Halloween season.

Many believe that college is too expensive for them. CAC works to provide most Pinal County high school graduates with scholarships and grants to cover the cost of their tuition. Learn about the financial aid process and how you can pay for college. The session will cover information about the FAFSA, scholarship application, and the Pinal Promise.
Lights, Mics, Action: Welcome to the CAC Podcasting Studio! Step into the spotlight at Central Arizona College’s very own 4-person podcasting space—perfect for both video and audio podcasts. Whether you’re dreaming of becoming the next big voice in media or just want to try something new, this session is your launchpad. We’ll kick things off with a quick dive into podcasting theory, then hand you the mic for a mini recording session. Bring your ideas, your energy, and your crew—this is your chance to create, collaborate, and shine!
Lunch is not included as a part of this event, but there will be food trucks available in the V and H parking lots along with Starbucks and the Cafe in the I building for students to purchase at the completion of the CAC Experience at noon if your school chooses to stay after the end of the program.
