Welcome to the Central Arizona College Police webpage. The Central Arizona College Police Department (CACPD) is a fully functioning police department and is here to serve our students, employees, and members of the community. Our department consists of certified Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZPOST) sworn police officers. Our mission is to serve the CAC community with professionalism, integrity, and fairness.
CACPD operates 24 hours a day at the Signal Peak campus. The CACPD office is located in the I building, room 200. Officers are assigned to the Superstition Mountain, Maricopa, and San Tan Campuses Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. An officer is on-duty at the Aravaipa Campus Monday, and Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Contracted security guards from G4S provide coverage when officers are not on duty at these locations.
As a department, we work closely with students, faculty, and staff in a cooperative effort to make all CAC campuses safe to help enhance the learning environment. Please take the time to explore the CACPD web site to learn more about the department and the services we offer. As the Chief of Police, I am committed to a proactive approach to relationship building, community policing, enforcement, crime prevention, networking, and collaborating with area law enforcement partners and our CAC team.
The CACPD will continue to evaluate ourselves, develop strategies to meet the security and safety needs for CAC, and enhance partnerships with a team-first philosophy. To quote Rear Admiral G. Hopper, “The most dangerous phrase in our language is: ‘We’ve Always Done It This Way.’” It is my belief as the leader of the department, we can always get better and it starts with me.
Please feel free to reach out to myself or a member of CACPD if assistance is needed.
