Institutional Effectiveness

Institutional Effectiveness (IE) directs and coordinates activities related to institutional planning, research, evaluation, and knowledge systems that support the mission and purposes of Central Arizona College District. The Institutional Effectiveness Office also conducts other data gathering and analysis activities related to the development and implementation of institutional effectiveness measures, assessment of institutional position within the community, and data collection related to state, federal, and accrediting reporting requirements.

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for reporting data to the Federal Government (i.e. IPEDS), to the State of Arizona (i.e. Annual Report to the Governor) and to the Higher Learning Commission (i.e. Institution Update). As the stewards for many reports and data, members of this department are often available to guide individuals on where to find key data they are looking for. Please reach out to a member of this department with questions.

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness Staff conduct business in an ethical and confidential matter, in doing so, adhere to the Code of Ethics established by the Association for Institutional Research.

Facts at a Glance

IPEDS

Integrated Post-secondary Education Data System.

These data and those of other higher education institutions in the US are publicly available on their Web site in a series of formats for researchers, educators, parents, and students. For example, the College Navigator may be used by families for college or university selection while the Peer Analysis System allows researchers to compare an institution to a group of peer institutions.

IPEDS provides a Data Feedback Report each year to member institutions based on data that we submit in comparison to a group of peer colleges.

IPEDS Data Feedback Reports are available for the following years:
