Plumbing AAS & Certificates
The Central Arizona College Plumbing program provides hands-on training in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Students develop the technical skills and practical experience needed to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems while learning industry standards, safety practices, and code requirements. The program prepares students for entry-level careers in the plumbing industry and provides a strong foundation for industry certifications, apprenticeships, and continued career advancement.
The Central Arizona College Plumbing program prepares students for careers in the plumbing industry through comprehensive classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and public buildings.
The program utilizes the NCCER Plumbing curriculum, providing students with industry-recognized, competency-based training aligned with current plumbing practices. Instruction covers plumbing safety, tools and equipment, trade mathematics, plumbing drawings, piping and fittings, drain-waste-vent (DWV) systems, water distribution systems, fixtures, water heaters, valves, fuel gas systems, basic electricity, and service plumbing.
Through hands-on laboratory experiences, students learn to apply classroom knowledge to real-world plumbing applications while developing essential skills in safety, problem-solving, blueprint and code interpretation, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
The program provides students with a strong foundation for entry-level employment, apprenticeships, industry credentials, and continued career advancement in the plumbing and skilled trades industries.
Program Location: The Plumbing program is offered exclusively at the Central Arizona College Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction, Arizona.
