Prison Education Programs

Welcome to Central Arizona College’s Prison Education Programs

Our Incarcerated Programs support eligible students in correctional settings through education pathways designed to improve skills, expand opportunity, and support successful reentry. Central Arizona College has been working with ADCRR since our college opened in 1969. During that time we have successfully graduated thousands of incarcerated students and prepared them for the workforce upon their release.

Programs Offered:

  • CTE Contract Certificates – CAC partners with ADCRR to provide Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs at ASPC-Eyman and ASPC-Winslow. Some CTE coursework may also apply toward an Associate of Arts degree as electives to help toward graduation.
  • Prison Education Program (PEP) – CAC now offers 100% online laptop based Associate degree programs. General Studies and Applied Science in Business. We are awaiting final approval from the Dept. of Education for our transition from the Second Chance Pell Experimental Site program to the new PEP program. We have already graduated students successfully in each degree pathway and we are growing our enrollment exponentially each year.
