HVAC Certificates
The Central Arizona College HVAC program provides hands-on training in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Students develop the technical skills and practical experience needed to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment. The program prepares students for entry-level careers in the HVAC industry and provides a strong foundation for continued professional growth, industry certifications, and advancement in the field.
The Central Arizona College HVAC program prepares students for careers in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students learn the skills needed to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVACR systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
The program utilizes the NCCER HVACR curriculum, providing students with nationally recognized, competency-based training aligned with current industry practices. Instruction includes HVACR fundamentals, trade mathematics, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, air distribution, piping, brazing and soldering, refrigeration, system diagnostics, controls, and energy efficiency.
Students gain practical experience working with industry-standard tools, equipment, and procedures while developing the safety, problem-solving, technical, and professional skills needed to succeed in the field. The program provides a pathway to entry-level employment and continued advancement through industry credentials, certifications, apprenticeships, and additional education.
Campus Location: The HVAC program is currently offered exclusively at the Central Arizona College Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction, Arizona.
