  • Assistant Manager – Assists manager by managing staff, planning and evaluating departmental activities, maintaining departmental standards and product knowledge and lending any additional support necessary to the manager.
  • Front Desk/Guest Service Representative – Serves guests by planning, implementing and evaluating concierge, valet, luggage, transport services, special events and coordinates staff.
  • Event/Catering Assistant – Assist in planning, organizing and implementing details for weddings, seminars, golf outings or special events for coordinating food, facility arrangements, entertainment and other customer needs.

Management Certificate

The Management Certificate is designed to prepare individuals who desire to work in mid-level management positions.  Courses are designed to include the business essentials and also emphasize the skill sets needed for effective management and communication in the work environment.  The eight (24 credits) provide instruction in the background and knowledge necessary for students to develop the judgment skills they must exercise as business managers.  These courses can be applied towards the Business A.A.S. degree.

The Management Certificate focuses on communication, finances, legal issues, basic marketing and management principles that develop leadership and supervision skills.  Most careers often lead to management level positions.  The Management Certificate will also qualify for the national “Retail Management” industry credential.

Find out more about the employee tuition reimbursement for the Retail Management Certificate Program (RMCP) through the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) national partnership.  The RMCP certificate is comprised of these eight basic management foundation in Central Arizona College’s Management Certificate.  Industry participant employer’s include Albertson’s, Bashas’, Coca Cola, Costco (Calif.), Fry’s, Pro’s Ranch Markets, Safeway, Smith’s Food & Drug, Smart & Final Corporation and Whole Foods.

  • Clerical Assistant – Will be doing data entry, filing, posting payments, and collections, answer phone according to the company telephone protocol, present and verify accuracy of all customer paperwork, performs other duties as assigned.
  • Office Assistant – Will have the following skills: prior administrative/office experience is preferred, Microsoft Office knowledge, excellent problem solving skills, scheduling and writing memos.
  • Administrative Assistant – Will have the following skills: Microsoft Office Suite and other basic computer programs, knowledge of office procedures, filing, scheduling and light travel arrangements, managing Outlook and syncing tasks and meetings.

  • PC Technician – Responsible for all aspects of system administration including networks, applications, database, and telecommunications by implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring, and the development of specialized system procedures.
  • IT Systems & Desktop Support Technician – Responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the computer system, terminal network, and peripheral equipment.
  • IT Support Technician – Responsible to work both remotely and onsite at client locations to assist the clients with information technology issues. They will also be involved in project work like server upgrades/migrations/virtualizations, desktop/laptop rollouts/upgrades and MSP client monitoring and maintenance.
