All students should complete the Student Information Form and placement exam process to receive proper advisement and course selection prior to registration and orientation. Admission to the college is granted to any person who meets one of the following criteria:

Regular Standing Students:

• ·Submission of Student Application
• ·Submission of Official Transcripts from other institutions. colleges and/or universities (if applicable)

Special Status / Supplementing Secondary or Home School Student / Under the Age of 18:

Students admitted under these criteria are not guaranteed admission to a specific degree program or to all courses offered at the college. The number of credits in which a student may enroll in may be limited. Any student falling under these criteria must provide the following:

• ·Completion of the Student Application;
• ·Completion of the Request for Special Admission Form;
• ·Completion of SAT or ACT test;
• ·Submission of letter stating the reason for the special admission request;
• ·Consultation with Director of Testing and Advising

Students not meeting any of the provisions stated above may be admitted on an individual basis with the approval of the Director of Testing and Advising, so long as such student meets the established requirements of the course(s) for which they enroll and the college official determines that such admission is in the best interest of the student. The following is required:

• ·Completion of the Student Application;
• ·Submission of letter stating the reason for the special admission request

No person under the age of 18 shall be denied admission because of age, lack of a high school diploma or high school certificate of equivalency, grade in school, lack of permission of school officials or lack of concurrent enrollment in a public or private school if the student meets one of the following test scores:

• ·Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) composite (verbal and math) score of 930 or above
• ·American College Test (ACT) composite score of 22 or above

College Sponsored Program or Course (First Step, Early College and Dual Enrollment):

Students participating in a special program or course sponsored by the college should submit the following:

• ·Completion of the Student Application
• ·Completion of the college placement exam (if required by the course(s) in which the student plans to enroll)

International Students / F-1 Nonimmigrant Students:

International students seeking admissions based on an F-1 student visa status must provide the following documentation:

• ·Completion of the Student Application;
• ·Completion of the International Student Application
• ·Completion of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), with a minimum score of 450 or higher for the written test or 133 for the computer test. Scores must be sent directly from: TOEFL, PO Box 6155, Princeton, NJ08541-6155, USA;
• ·Complete the *Financial Support Statement;
• ·Submission of all final transcripts/grades from any high schools and/or colleges attended. Transcripts should be sent directly to Central Arizona College;
• ·Submission of a letter from a bank or other financial institution verifying funds for financial support;

*Central Arizona College has no provision for scholarships for international students; therefore, students must be prepared to meet the necessary financial obligations for the entire time they will be in the United States.
