Taking specific classes to transfer back to another college or university, or interested in taking one or two college classes for fun or exploration, without the intent of completing a degree at CAC.
Follow the steps below and get on your path!
Apply for Admission:
Applying as a Visiting Student is free and doesn’t commit you to earning a degree at CAC. This process allows you to enroll in the classes you need while making sure you understand important policies, deadlines, and student resources.
- •First Step: Complete the CAC Onboarding Modules
- Before completing the CAC Admissions Application, all visiting students must first complete a short online onboarding experience.
- The onboarding modules are designed to:
- Explain registration, payment, and key academic policies
- Help ensure your credits trnasfer smoothly
- Pfovide information that students commonly need
- Before you apply, have the following ready:
- •A valid email address & phone number that you check frequently. Your Admissions Letter and Next Steps will be sent to this email. Do not use a school or work email address.
- •Your social security number, if you have one.
- •Review the Campus Locations. Even if you plan to take your classes online, choose the campus closest to you so we can reach out and provide appropriate assistance.
- •When you apply, under Area of Interest, choose ‘Other Programs’. under Program of Study, choose ‘Non Degree Seeking’
- •Your high school graduation date and it is important to provide an accurate year and month.
- •Complete your CAC Onboarding Process

Submit Arizona Residency Documents:
Arizona public colleges have additional requirements based on Arizona Revised Statue 15-1802. It is important to submit residency documents via your portal to ensure we bill you at the in-state tuition rate. Even though you may have done this at another institution we’re also required to collect this information.
- •Please allow 2-3 business days for processing your admissions application
- •Check your email for your admissions letter (It might be in your SPAM folder)
- •Log into your student portal by using your CAC e-mail and password found in your admissions letter.
- •Go to My Documents, choose all programs and submit residency documents.
- •Residency Information: Additional information on residency requirements can be found here: Residency Requirements. In general, you need to prove you’ve been in Arizona for a year and your legal presence. An AZ Driver’s License will a Real ID check can do both of these if it is over a year old. If you recently received a driver’s license an unofficial transcript from an Arizona high school and show proof of being in the state for a year, along with a driver’s license or U.S. birth certificate.
