Twenty CAC Students Receive Book Scholarships

By Angela Askey, Executive Director Public Relations and Marketing

Through collaborative efforts, the Central Arizona College English and Student Services departments awarded 20 CAC students with book scholarships this fall.

Students from any major could apply. They were required to submit a 250-300 word essay on how CAC has helped them, as a student, achieve their educational goals. Students had to be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours for the fall semester, achieved a grade of B or better in ENG 101 and declared a program of study or major.

Kelley Johnson expressed her appreciation, “Wow!  This is amazing and so very appreciated. I don’t think I have the words, but please know this is so needed right now and I am beyond grateful. Thank you to all on the committee! Thank you!”
