Central Arizona College Young Americans for Freedom to Host ’9/11 Never Forget Project’ Flag Display
By Angela Askey, Executive Director Public Relations and Marketing
The Central Arizona College Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) student chapter invites CAC students, faculty and staff as well as all Pinal County community citizens to visit the ‘9/11 Never Forget Project’ flag display at the Signal Peak Campus (8470 N Overfield Road, Coolidge, AZ).
To commemorate the 24th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and United Flight 93, a display of 2,977 American flags will be available for viewing from dawn to dusk on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Signal Peak Campus green. Each flag represents the individuals who died in the terrorist attacks.
Gayle Haro, YAF Club Faculty Advisor stated, “This third annual event strives to honor and remember those 9/11 American victims, and first responders while promoting awareness, patriotism and pride for college students, all young Americans and communities to continue fighting for freedom in our nation.”
YAF is a national high school and college level organization. The CAC Chapter began in Fall 2023. YAF’s mission is to bring students together to advance conservatism on CAC campuses, to encourage educational activism and develop conservative leadership through training and special events. Benefits of joining the YAF Chapter membership include community involvement, leadership training, learning service hours, character development, networking events and educational enrichment. Participants may obtain community or learning service hours that may be applied to various scholarships or organizational requirements.
