Central Arizona College Students Graduate with Bachelor’s Degree from NAU without Leaving Home

Five Central Arizona College transfer students recently completed the requirements from Northern Arizona University toward a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Leadership.

These five, were members of the inaugural class of the 90/30 partnership program between CAC and NAU. Students completed 90 credits at CAC and the last 30 credits with NAU to complete their Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Industrial Leadership.

Central Arizona College Partnership Transfer Graduates are listed below, along with the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree they received at CAC:

  • Zane Ryan Munoz – AAS Heavy Equipment Operations
  • Angelica M Encinas- AAS Manufacturing Engineering
  • Eric Daily – AAS Heavy Equipment Operations-CAC & Welding & Machine Tool Technology-Pima
  • Abel Rosaldo Castaneda Jr – AAS Manufacturing Engineering
  • William Henry Hulsey – AAS Welding

Dr. Joy D’Angelo, Faculty & Program Lead for Industrial Leadership stated, “I have been most impressed with the preparation of CAC students in the CAC & NAU 90/30-Bachelor’s in Industrial Leadership program. These skilled trades students have mastered their trade and are now prepared with skills to lead in today’s industrial workplace. It has been a great honor to work with the CAC skilled trades faculty, staff and students in our new partnership program.”

NAU is the only university in Arizona that offers 90/30 degree programs. Examples of associate degrees that can transfer into the Industrial Leadership program at NAU are: automated industrial technology, heavy equipment operator, welding technology, and more. As an NAU student, students take university courses in their community for one year and earn their bachelor’s degree without relocating.
