Central Arizona College Launches New Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

Central Arizona College is excited to announce the launch of its new Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program, beginning in Fall 2025 with introductory courses. Classes and programming will be located in the new Allied Health (AH) building at the Superstition Mountain Campus (805 S. Idaho Rd., Apache Junction, AZ.)

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program will provide students with the skills and knowledge needed for a rewarding career in diagnostic medical imaging.

Applications for admission will open in March 2025. As part of the admissions process, the college is offering a series of information sessions to provide prospective students with an overview of the program, curriculum, and career opportunities in sonography. These sessions will be available in both face-to-face and virtual formats to accommodate all interested individuals.

Following is a listing of the 2025 information session dates and times.

  • Wed., February 19, 2025 (4:30 – 6:00 p.m.) – This is a face-to-face session in building AH, room 180 at the Superstition Mountain Campus
  • Thurs., February 20, 2025 (10:00 – 11:30 a.m.) – This is a virtual session
  • Mon., February 24, 2025 (11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) – This is a face-to-face session in building AH, room 180 at the Superstition Mountain Campus
  • Mon., February 24, 2025 (4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) – This is a virtual session

To attend one of the information sessions, please email Program Director Khalid Hawwary at khalid.hawwary@centralaz.edu to be added to the distribution list. Virtual session invites will be sent out the day before the meeting.

Additional information sessions will be scheduled after the admissions process for the first cohort is completed.
