The completion scholarship was designed to assist CAC students who are close to completing a degree or certificate and in need of tuition assistance. Students were awarded the amount, up to 18 credits, to cover their tuition for their final semester at CAC. Students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Student, Ann Hatch stated, “Thank you for offering me the completion scholarship for Spring 2021! This could not come at a better time for me. I am in my last semester of the Nursing Program here, and I registered for my classes not sure how I was going to be able to pay my tuition. This scholarship allows me to complete my program debt free.” She added, “I have either paid along the way bit by bit or my parents have helped me pay tuition in the past two years. I am an adult student and have 4 children of my own that I am working to support. I have a job lined up doing hospice nursing after I complete my program, working with those who are near death and in need of compassionate care. This scholarship is the final nudge I need to accomplish my goal of becoming a registered nurse and a hospice nurse. Thank you all so much for your kindness, in this gift to me and my family.”
Karen Hindhede, Professor of English and Literary Art & Languages Division Chair explained, “This spring there were 91 applicants for the Book Scholarship and 32 applicants for the Completion Scholarship. Our faculty are pleased to be able to assist students with this financial support each semester.”
