Fall 2025 New Student Orientation

ALL first time in college students and those new to CAC are expected to attend an in-person New Student Orientation session at their closest campus location:

Students are encouraged to bring support people to orientation.

  • “Support people” may include parents, family, partners, spouses, or close friends.
  • Although children and minors could be considered support people, we do not encourage minor children to attend in-person orientation so that our new CAC students can focus on the content and information being shared.

Topics covered include:

  • How is College Different from High School
  • Technology Basics
  • Learning Styles for Academic Success
  • Student Accessibility Services
  • Basic Needs Resources and our THRIVE Center
  • Campus Police Department and our new Therapy Dog, Hudson!
  • Student Information Privacy and FERPA (Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act)
  • Student Engagement and Clubs
  • Learning Center and Library Resources
  • Student Jobs and Career Exploration Resources
  • Financial Aid and Scholarship Information

Virtual Orientation

For students who are unable to attend orientation in-person, Virtual Orientation video is available through your student Blackboard account: https://blackboard.centralaz.edu/
