International Students / F-1 Visa

Follow the steps below and get on your path!

STEP 1

For additional information email International Admissions at

International Admissions must be completed at least 6 weeks prior to expected starting semester.

International students seeking admissions based on an F-1 student visa status must provide the following documentation:

•Complete: International Student Questionnaire
•Complete: English proficiency exam is required if coming from a non-English speaking country. English proficiency test results expire after two years from test date. The list below is subject to change without notice.

Duolingo: Minimum score of 90.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Minimum overall band score 5.5 or better with a minimum individual score of 5.0 in each component (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking).
TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language): Minimum band score of 61.
Official transcripts indicating completion of College Reading AND English Composition 100, OR English Composition 101 (or their equivalents) at a regionally accredited institution and earning a grade of C or better.
ACT Reading and Writing with a minimum score of 19
SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing with a minimum score of 510

•Submit: All final transcripts/grades from any high school(s) and college(s) attended.
•Submit: Letter from a bank or other financial institution verifying funds for financial support.
•Document Translation into English: Contact on of the following agencies for foreign credential evaluation services:

World Education Services (WES) www.wes.org

•All Above Documents Should be Submitted To Central Arizona College at international.admissions@centralaz.edu

*Central Arizona College has no provision for scholarships for international students; therefore, students must be prepared to meet the necessary financial obligations for the entire time they will be in the United States. It is estimated that each student will need at least $18,000 per academic year in order to meet all expenses, exclusive of travel.

STEP 2

After You Apply:

•MAKE SURE to check your personal email for admission confirmation. If you don’t receive an email containing your CAC username/password within two hours contact admissions@centralaz.edu.
•Get your FREE Student ID on your next visit to any CAC campus.
•Students should log into their Student Email, Student Portal, Blackboard and more through MyCAC
•Enroll in Password Self-Service

On-Campus Housing/Signal Peak Only ~ Application and Information

Placement Tools and Academic Advising Appointment:

•Use CAC’s Placement Tools to determine recommended English/Reading and Math course placement.
•Set an appointment with your Academic Advisor and be sure to bring your placement results to your appointment.

STEP 3

Register for Classes and Pay Tuition and Fees

Registration Options:

•Add/Drop classes in Student Portal
•Complete Add/Drop form and email from your CAC Student Email to admissions@centralaz.edu
•Complete Add/Drop form and return to any CAC campus

Final Details

Become familiar with Blackboard where you access your courses, clubs, organizations, technology tutorials, tutoring and more.
Courses may not show up in Blackboard until the scheduled course start date.
Review/print your schedule anytime in your Student Portal
Find Textbooks at CAC Campus Bookstores or online (bring your schedule and photo ID to purchase books in-person
