Campus safety is our top priority
We take all reports of misconduct seriously to protect everyone’s health and well-being. The College depends on community members to identify and report behaviors of concern so that the College can provide distressed students with appropriate support services and resources. We are all responsible for campus safety. If you see something, say and do something about it using the forms listed below.
Central Arizona College is committed to creating a safe, supportive learning and working environments for all members of the campus community.
Academic Student Support Request Form
Academic Student Support Request Form (formerly Early Alert) is a process designed to increase retention and improve the success rate of students in the classroom. The program aims to support faculty and staff to identify any issues that may impact student persistence or achievement. The Academic Student Support Request is a tool by which any CAC employee may refer a student to various CAC student success services. If you encounter any issues when submitting a request, please email AcademicSuccess@centralaz.edu . Include the student’s name and ID along with course information (if applicable) and an explanation for the referral.
Counseling Resources
The College is currently in the process of establishing a new counseling provider service. In the meantime, students can access the local resources listed below. Please note that these resources are available at the student’s expense and are not covered financially by the College. These services are confidential and offer individual therapy, group therapy, and workshops focused on mental health.

Central Arizona College has a variety of support services and resources to help our students thrive. Students, staff, and faculty can submit the form below to connect students with campus and community resources.
Student Complaint
CAC promotes an open educational environment. We welcome all feedback, both positive and constructive, regarding your experience with us. What is working and what is not? Your input provides for continuous quality improvement at CAC. In the event of a complaint, the college encourages all students to first direct their complaints to the staff or administrator specifically involved. If the situation cannot be remedied at this level the student may contact the staff or administrator’s immediate supervisor.

Student Disruptive Behavior or Student Code of Conduct Violation
Disruptive behavior is conduct that inhibits or limits anyone’s ability to fully access the educational benefits Central Arizona has to offer or behavior that directly violates the Student Code of Conduct. Disruptive behavior occurs inside or outside of a classroom setting. This form can be used to report general incidents, student misconduct, or student code violations.
Student Disability Accommodation Request
Complete the form to request a student disability accommodation for prospective or currently enrolled students. If you have a concern about a disability related issue, please contact the Disability Resource Services Coordinator at 520-494-5409 or reference the Discrimination Complaint Process. If you need additional assistance please contact the Dean of Student Life at 520-494-5341.
Academic Dishonesty
All forms of student academic dishonesty, including but not limited to, cheating, inventing facts, or sources, causing others to be dishonest, or representing another’s words as one’s own. Cheating. Cheating is defined as the use or attempted use of information, academic work, research, or property of another as one’s own. Cheating includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, sharing knowledge during an examination, the unauthorized use of notes or other materials in an examination, or the willful disobedience of testing rules. If you have any questions about whether something constitutes academic dishonesty, please check with your instructor and/or your course syllabus. Both instructors and students may complete the form to report academic dishonesty.
Academic Grade Concern
Students who have a question or concern regarding their grade(s) or the course instructor should first speak to their instructor. SARA Complaint Process
For online students living outside Arizona, non-instructional complaints may be submitted at Compliment, Concern or Complaint Form below. Students may appeal SARA related complaints to the Arizona Community College Coordinating Council (AC4) at AC4 SARA Link . CAC is also a member of the Arizona SARA Council , who can review unresolved non-instructional complaints for out of state students. Complaints may be submitted to AZ SARA at https://azsara.arizona.edu/complaints . Students may also contact the SARA Portal Agency of their home state at http://nc-sara.org/content/state-portal-entity-contacts . Instructional complaints, such as grade grievances, should be resolved with faculty, and are not reviewed by AZ SARA.
Sexual Misconduct-Title IX Statement
Central Arizona College has policies relative to Title IX that support nondiscrimination and prohibit discriminatory behavior including sexual harassment and sexual violence. Such policies apply to all educational programs, services, activities, and facilities. Inquiries concerning the application of Title IX policies or the filing of a specific complaint may be referred to CAC’s Title IX Coordinator, Laura Shepherd, by phone 520-494-5106 or by email titleix@centralaz.edu .
