Central Arizona College to Offer Virtual Information Sessions for New Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

Central Arizona College (CAC) is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of its second bachelor’s degree program, the Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). The program will welcome its first students in January 2027, providing licensed registered nurses with a flexible pathway to advance their education and professional practice.
Virtual Information sessions are scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, October 8, 2026, between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Registration is not required. To learn more and receive the session links visit www.centralaz.edu/rntobsn.
Designed for working nurses, the RN to BSN program will be delivered through an asynchronous online learning format, allowing students to access coursework on their own schedule, complemented by focused practicum experiences. This structure allows students to build on their previous nursing education and clinical experience while developing the knowledge and skills needed to respond to the demands of today’s healthcare environment.
The curriculum provides an affordable learning option without compromising quality and emphasizes the pillars of modern professional nursing, including leadership, evidence-based practice, and community-focused care. Students will also explore critical competencies such as patient safety, healthcare policy, legal and ethical decision-making, and healthcare informatics.
Graduates will be prepared to lead quality improvement initiatives, apply clinical judgment in complex environments, and promote positive health outcomes for diverse populations. By bridging the gap between clinical practice and academic leadership, the program supports nurses seeking to expand their career opportunities and make a lasting contribution to the future of healthcare.

RN to BSN applications open on October 12, 2026, with classes beginning in early January 2027.
