Tuition and Fees are DUE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION!
Beginning Summer 2025, registered students that do not have a form of payment in place
(i.e.., Financial Aid, Scholarship, Third Party, Payment Plan, etc.) will be dropped for non-payment four weeks before the semester start.

Frequently Asked Questions

Drop for non-payment is the process that withdraws students from classes for not officially establishing payment arrangements. Payment is due at the time of registration. Failure to pay by the drop date will result in the loss of registration.

What if I am unable to pay the required tuition and fees by the published deadline?

Other financial options may be available to you, such as financial aid, scholarships and a payment plan. Please contact our Student Accounts or Financial Aid office for additional information.

What if I have applied for Financial Aid and I have not been notified of my award?

Applying for Financial Aid does not qualify a student to be exempt from the drop process. If a student has been *awarded Financial Aid, their student account will become exempt from the drop process. Please check your online student account for scholarship/financial aid status. *The awarding of Financial Aid is when your eligibility has been determined and your file is complete, not to be confused with applying.

What if I am a Veteran and receive educational benefits?

Students receiving VA benefits must verify eligibility with their CAC Veterans Certifying Official in order to become exempt from the purge process. This process must occur each semester.

What if my employer (or third party) pays my tuition for school?

Students must submit required third party authorization forms to the Student Accounts office in order to become exempt from the drop process.

What if I am receiving a scholarship?

Applying for a scholarship does not qualify a student as exempt from the drop process. If a student has been awarded a scholarship, the account will become exempt from the drop process. Please check your online student account for scholarship/financial aid status.

What if I am a High School student registered in a Concurrent and/or Dual Enrollment class?

By registering for college classes you are accepting financial responsibility for all related tuition and fees. High School student must use the High School Program registration process to ensure they are exempt from the drop process. High school students are not exempt from the drop process.

What if I am drop from my classes for non-payment? 

Students who are dropped for non-payment will lose their reserved seat in their classes (including waitlisted classes). Seats are not guaranteed to be available for re-registration. Re-registration is the responsibility of the student. Students may be dropped multiple times during the process if payment arrangements are not established before the next drop date.

Face-to-Face classes meet at designated dates, times, and locations as indicated in the Class Schedule.

Online classes meet virtually online using a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Blackboard. Completely online classes do NOT meet at designated dates, times, or locations. Online classes may require in-person testing at designated locations.

Live Streaming classes meet virtually online at designated dates and times as indicated in the Class Schedule, but they do NOT meet at specific locations. These classes meet via live streaming using a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Blackboard. Live Streaming courses may require in-person testing at designated locations.

Hybrid classes meet using a combination of Face-to-Face (F2F), Online and/or Live Streaming modalities. Hybrid classes may require in-person testing at designated locations.

Examples include:

Hybrid: F2F/Online – Classes meet at designated dates, times, and locations as indicated in the Class Schedule, in addition to coursework completed online.

Hybrid: Live Streaming/Online – Classes meet via live streaming at designated dates and times as indicated in the Class Schedule, in addition to coursework completed online.

Hybrid: F2F/Live Streaming – Classes meet at designated dates, times, and location; Classes meet via Live Streaming at designated days and times as indicated in the Class Schedule.
