Math and Science Resources
Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.org)
-The Khan Academy is a website that allows you to watch free video lectures designed to be watched on a computer screen. Topics covered range from arithmetic to calculus, chemistry, biology, finance, and so on. In addition to the extensive video collection, students can create a login and practice problems that can be broken down step-by-step.
-WolframAlpha is an extraordinary resource, particularly for mathematics. Upon clicking the URL, the user is brought to a webpage asking what they would like to know. You can type in a wide variety of math problems, unit conversions, or terms you would like defined! However, if that's too open-ended, click "Examples" to be brought to a page where you can more easily pin down your topic of interest.
The InteractMath website allows you to access Pearson mathematics materials based on their extensive collection of textbooks. Upon clicking “Enter,” you will be given the option to select a textbook of interest from all levels of math. After choosing a textbook, you will be able to practice countless exercises, enter your answers online, and receive an immediate response as to whether your answer is correct or not! While the website does not provide access to the textbooks themselves, you will have access to the “View an Example” and “Help Me Solve This” options. The website does not require you register and it’s free!
