Local Maricopa Students Graduate from CAC Before High School

By Angela Askey, Executive Director Public Relations and Marketing

Carlee Vidolin is one of four Maricopa homeschooled students who received an associate degree from Central Arizona College before graduating high school.

Vidolin received an Associate of Arts degree from CAC and will be continuing her education at Utah Valley University where she will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English. Her goal is to attend law school.

About her experience at CAC, Vidolin stated, “I am really grateful that CAC let me have the opportunity to participate in a program where I can graduate both high school and college at the same time. I feel proud of myself for doing this because this was not an easy process and I sacrificed a lot, but it was worth it!” She added, “CAC has amazing teachers who have all helped me through this experience.”

To other students, Vidolin provides this advice, “Reach out to your teachers as soon as you start to feel overwhelmed. They can be a great source of help and motivation. When things feel like too much, they can guide you through your struggles. Sometimes when we get overwhelmed with our classes, we want to shut down but keep going and showing up for yourself.”

Other Maricopa homeschooled students who received their degree from CAC as they graduated high school this spring include:

  • Nolan Ford – Associate of Arts
  • Raina Nicholson – Associate of Business
  • Taryn Nicholson – Associate of Business
