Central Arizona College Foundation to Host Annual Golf Tournament Benefiting George Young Memorial Scholarship

The Central Arizona College Foundation will host its annual golf tournament on Thurs., November 5, 2026, with all proceeds supporting the George Young Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship honors the legacy of George Young, who joined Central Arizona College in 1971 as an instructor and Cross Country/Track & Field coach. In 1973, he was promoted to Athletic Director and served the college with distinction until his retirement in 1996. A four-time Olympian, Young earned Olympic medals in 1960, 1964, 1968, and 1972. He passed away on November 8, 2022.

The tournament will be held at Mission Royale Golf Club, located at 11 Mission Parkway in Casa Grande. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Registration is $125 per player or $500 per team of four. Entry fees include a golf cart, range balls, lunch, and eligibility for tournament prizes.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with packages ranging from $125 to $5,000.
