Summer Bridge
Summer Bridge is a FREE job shadowing, experiential learning (learning-by-doing) program. During Summer Bridge, students learn valuable skills in time management, health and wellness, financial management and Money Matters, decision-making, and many other topics crucial to success in college. Students will have a unique opportunity to participate in a job shadowing experience at Central Arizona College.
All learning materials, activities, and meals will be provided throughout the Summer Bridge Program.

- Job Shadowing: Experiential Learning by doing.
- Meet new friends and familiarize yourself with the CAC campus.
FREE to eligible students:
Recent high school graduates (classes of ‘24, ’25, or ’26) and GED recipients are encouraged to apply.
TRIO Summer Bridge is jointly funded by Central Arizona College and the U.S. Department of Education. It is the only job shadowing work experience program Arizona offered to eligible participants at no cost.
Who is eligible to apply?
Summer Bridge is designed for incoming freshman students who have recently graduated from high school or obtained their GED, and plan to attend Central Arizona College’s Signal Peak Campus in Fall 2026. You are eligible to apply if you are*:
- First-Generation College Student – Neither parent (or guardian) completed a four-year college degree before your 16th birthday.
- Completed FASFA– CAC Student Accounts & Financial Aid
- You have a documented disability.
- Applicants must also intend to transfer to a four-year university to qualify for TRIO services.
*Students must meet a minimum of one of the above-listed requirements.
