DEPARTMENT MISSION

The Student Leadership Organization provides inclusive opportunities to practice socially just leadership, empower students to understand their civic responsibilities, and engage the community in working toward an enriched future.

STUDENT CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

A registered Student Club and Organization (SCO) is a campus-based group of like-minded or interested students, faculty, and staff organized to provide education, support, and activities for students at Central Arizona College (CAC). Registered SCO’s have access and privilege to the college facilities, student activity funds, and the support of the Student Engagement and Activities Department.

OBTAINING OFFICIAL COLLEGE RECOGNITION FOR STUDENT CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

All SCO’s must be registered with the department of Student Engagement and Activities and follow the Policy and Procedures 595 Clubs and Organizations.

CATEGORIES OF STUDENT CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

A Student Club or Organization (SCO) must fall under one or more of the following categories:
1. Social
2. Religious
3. Academic
4. Departmental
5. Programmatic
6. Service
7. Special Interest
8. Political Interest
Individuals that would like to start a new organization may request startup funds from the Director of Student Engagement and Activities to host an informational meeting.
