Four Freshmen
Sat, Jan. 16, 2016 at 7 pm: $22
Signal Peak Campus, Pence Center

As early as 1948, the Four Freshmen inspired vocal groups including Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, the Mamas and the Papas and Manhatten Transfer. They were one of the top vocal groups of the 1950's and formed the bridge between 40's ensembles like Mel-Tones and harmony-based rock & roll bands such as the Bach Boys. Some hits include It's a Blue World, Mood Indigo and Day By Day. These new performers have continued that epic sound that still resonates with music lovers today.

Dukes of Dixieland
Weds, Feb. 17, 2016 at 7 pm: $22
Signal Peak Campus, Pence Center

Known for their PBS television shows (New
Orleans Pops, Salute to Jelly Roll Morton and Celebrating Satchmo), this band also finds time to record (26 albums), stream one show a week on the internet and tour across the US and oversees. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to listen to this time honored musical style. The Dukes are blowing traditional Jazz, Dixie and New Orleans sounds into the 21st century.
