“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.
I love teaching and you will often hear me say “LOVE LIFE”! I truly believe that happiness, integrity and hard work are crucial ingredients for a wonderful life. I try to teach my students to practice excellence and work hard in every aspect of their life. I also enjoy learning from my students! My classes are a safe and happy place to learn.
Outside of the classroom I am an Assistant Rodeo Coach for our CAC Rodeo team, a TRiO Mentor and a Title V Mentor. I spend a lot of time with students in and out of classes and really enjoy it! I have been blessed with a wonderful family (including my husband and 2 daughters) and phenomenal friends and I enjoy time spent with them above all else. Some of my hobbies are barrel racing, fishing, and writing. I have been fortunate enough to be involved in sideline rodeo reporting and other public speaking engagements which have opened many doors in my life.
