Cheryl began working at Central Arizona College in the fall of 2012 as a Sports and Fitness Faculty.
Cheryl has worked in the professional areas of Physical Education, Recreation, Health & Wellness Coaching/Teaching, High School and College Basketball and Softball Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, Coach & Conference Speaker, and as a Personal Behavior Modification & Wellness Consultant.
She has taught in the community college system for 28 years and has coached in the college system for 17 years.
Cheryl is also known as the "Wellness Professor". She teaches Personal Health, Nutrition for Health & Wellness, Total Body Conditioning, and Recreation, Leisure & the Quality of Life at three of Central Arizona College campuses.
Highlights of Cheryl's Career
She has traveled internationally and related to diverse cultures in India, Korea, Canada and New Zealand as a conference speak, coach and athlete. She has also met Mother Theresa in Calcutta, India.
Cheryl earned the 2nd Place position in the INT league 'slalom ski' national amateur competition in Charleston, South Carolina in 1999
Cheryl was honored as "Coach of the Year" from Athlete's International Ministries for developing character in her student-athletes at San Joaquin Delta College in 1993
