College for Kids Summer Program at Aravaipa Campus 2015
July 6th - July 16th
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
College for kids provides 2nd through 6th graders from the surrounding communities with an opportunity to explore various subjects and themes in a hands-on way. It provides kids with a fun learning experience. Kids in 7th grade or higher are encouraged to be group leaders, who will earn community service credits. College for Kids is a very valuable resource for eastern Pinal and southern Gila counties, including the towns and cities of Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth, Winkelman, Hayden, Kearny and Superior. Transportation is available for most of these areas.
The theme for this year will be "Desert Critters". Children will learn about what makes desert critters unique through science experiments and live animal demonstrations. Tuition is $210.00 per child and a minimum of $50.00 is due by June 23 to be guaranteed a spot. Any unpaid portion of the tuition must be received by July 1, 2014. This tuition includes supplies, snacks, lunches, t-shirt, and a group photograph.
There is a limit of 40 participants. Acceptance into the program is on a first-come basis.
