College for Kids

College for Kids at Aravaipa Campus is gearing up for its 27th annual summer program.

College for Kids at Aravaipa Campus for 2013

July 8th - July 18th
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

College for kids provides 2nd through 6th graders from the surrounding communities with an opportunity to explore various subjects and themes in a hands-on way. It provides kids with a fun learning experience. Kids in 7th grade or higher are encouraged to be group leaders, who will earn community service credits. College for Kids is a very valuable resource for eastern Pinal and southern Gila counties, including the towns and cities of Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth, Winkelman, Hayden, Kearny and Superior.

The theme for this year will be "Wild, Wild Weather." Students will get a chance to build their own clouds and tornadoes, monitor their own weather station, and even inflate the "World's Largest Solar Bag"!  From renewable energy sources to our local monsoons, we will cover it all!

Tuition is $210.00 per child. This includes supplies, snacks, lunches, t-shirt, and a group photograph. Transportation is available for most areas in the community.

There is a limit of 40 participants. Acceptance into the program is on a first-come basis.
