End of the Week, Start of Your Future CAC Offers Weekend College Opportunities
By Angela Askey, Executive Director Public Relations and MarketingBeginning this spring, students can complete a program or earn an associate’s degree in 18 months to two years by attending school Friday & Saturday. Weekend College at Central Arizona College’s Corporate Center offers full-time professionals, stay-at-home parents, and high school students the opportunity to take classes.
January 4, 5 & 6, CAC’s Central Corporate Center (540 N. Camino Mercado, Casa Grande) has scheduled special registration times for Weekend College. Students can register in person on Jan. 4, 5, & 6 from 8 a.m. -7 p.m. or on Jan. 7 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Students have the opportunity to enroll in as many as 12 credits, Friday & Saturday. Classes will begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude by 4:30 p.m. with breaks held throughout the day.
The advantages of Weekend College include small classes and an opportunity to network with other students, while professors work closely with students to support their educational journey. Students are encouraged to explore professional academic/career advising (available Friday & Saturday) and registration services, as well as receive tutoring assistance (available throughout the week).
The spring semester will begin after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017.
