Central Arizona College Presidential Search Evaluation Committee Members Announced

During the January 19, 2016, Pinal County Community College District Governing Board meeting, sixteen individuals were appointed to serve on the college’s presidential search evaluation committee.

Each board member selected two citizens from their district. Additionally, six CAC employees, consisting of three faculty, one support staff, one managerial and technical staff and one administrator have been named.

Following is the complete list of committee members:

District 1:     

Ms. Kimerlee Johnson, Assistant to Superior Court Judge, Retired

Mr. Pete Rios, Pinal County Board of Supervisors, District 1

District 2:     

Dr. Cristina Dumal, DVM, Southern Veterinary

Ms. Barbara Manning, Past President Cave Creek School District Governing Board

District 3:     

Dr. Frank Davidson, Superintendent, Casa Grande Elementary School District

Ms. Mary Lou Rosales, Executive Director Community Action Human Resources Agency

District 4:     

Ms. Julia R. Gusse, Board Member, Ak-Chin Maricopa STEM Foundation

Ms. Elizabeth Levenson, Saddlebrooke External Information Committee

District 5:    

Mr. Jack Beveridge, President/CEO Empowerment Systems

Ms. Maxine Brown, Central Arizona Council of Governments

Employees:    

Dr. Ruth Butler, President, Central Arizona College Faculty Senate

Ms. Valerie Jensen, Professor of Speech Communication, Central Arizona College

The CAC Presidential Search officially opened on January 14, 2016 through a national search announcement. All application materials must be received by 6 p.m. MST on February 18, 2016.

Once the search has closed, evaluation committee members will review the application materials received and provide recommendations to the Governing Board in the selection of candidates for interview. The committee will also participate in the interview process of selected candidates and will provide input to the Governing Board on candidates to be considered as finalists for the new president. 

According to the posted presidential search timeline, the Governing Board hopes to begin interviews of selected candidates on April 5.
