CAC sending men’s and women’s team to College National Finals Rodeo

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. -Central Arizona College is sending a women's and men's team to compete at the 66th Annual College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, WY. The nationals will take place at the Casper Events Center beginning Sunday, June 15, through Saturday, June 21.

The CNFR is considered by rodeo athletes as the Rose Bowl of college rodeo. Within the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, contestants from 11 Regions compete all year to earn a trip to the CNFR. The top three students in each event and the top two men's and women's teams from each region will compete for individual event and national team championships.

CAC rodeo team members who will be competing at the 2014 CNFR include:
Women's Team
Devin Cordova (Florence, AZ) - Barrel Racing
Macy Fuller (Whittman, AZ) - Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping and Barrel Racing
Cheyenne Sherwood (Queen Creek, AZ) - Breakaway Roping

Men's Team
Ky Barry (Auburn, WA) - Steer Wrestling
Steven Gaona (Winkelman, AZ) - Team Roping, Heeler
Cole Robinson (Moorcroft, WY) - Tie Down Roping
Lane Wilson (Yreka, CA) - Steer Wrestling
Austin Woods (Newberg, OR) - Team Roping, Header
