CAC Study Abroad Information Session for Trips to Ireland, Spain and Mexico Set for December 7, 2016

Central Arizona College will hold an information session on Dec. 7 for the study abroad opportunities to Ireland, Spain and Mexico. The Ireland and Spain trips will take place during spring break and the Cuernavaca, Mexico trip will occur during summer 2017.
The information session will be held at 3 p.m. via ITV at all campuses. The International Studies Team will provide an overview for each trip and discuss credit and non-credit options (for community members and students not seeking credit.) Those interested in traveling to Ireland, Spain or Mexico may choose to attend the information session at the campus closest to them.

Ireland participants will travel to Donegal, Ireland, a quaint, picturesque seaside village. Students will visit Celtic villages and explore the vibrant city of Dublin. Along with daily cultural and educational excursions, travelers will participate in the town’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade!
Seville, Spain will be the nexus of CAC’s Spain spring break program. Students will experience the Roman ruins of Itálica, visit the majestic, historic city of Córdoba located along the Guadalquivir River, and take in the rich culture of Seville while enjoying tapas and a flamenco dance show.
The Spanish immersion program is held annually each summer in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Students who partake in this experience will attend five hours of Spanish courses daily with native instructors at the Universal language school located in the heart of Cuernavaca. Daily activities and excursions will include visits to museums, cooking opportunities, Mexican history classes, and main plaza visits. Additionally, participants will stay with local families, offering intense language practice and a full cultural experience.
