CAC Aravaipa Campus Fall Speakers Series Begins September 12

The Central Arizona College Aravaipa Campus 2016 Fall Speakers Series begins on Mon., September 12. Thomas Fleming, PhD, an Astronomer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Arizona’s Department of Astronomy and Steward Observatory will give the talk, Relativity Made Simple, to help students and community members understand the basic principles of Einstein’s Special and General Theories of Relativity...all done without any use of mathematics.

Additional speakers in the series include:

·         Tuesday, October 4 – Caroline Isaacs, Arizona Program Director of the American Friends Service Committee will discuss Arizona corrections with the talk, Cheap and Mean or Smart and Safe? - Arizona’s Criminal Justice System at the Crossroads.

·         Monday, October 31 – Tim Krone, DVM and Associate Veterinarian at VCA Animal Health Hospital will discuss veterinarian medicine as An Unspoken Art.

·         Monday, November 14, 2016 – Yvonne Navarro, Flight Emergency Nurse

Community members and students are encouraged to attend these free informative sessions. All talks will be held at the Aravaipa Campus Community Room, E102 (80440 E. Aravaipa Road Winkelman, AZ) from 11 a.m. until noon.
