PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – As part of an ongoing effort to prepare students to be more successful in the classroom, Central Arizona College is launching On Time Registration beginning with the 2013 fall semester.
Starting with classes that begin after 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 16, students will no longer be allowed to register for classes that have already started.
“When our students register on time,” Debbie Foster, professor of speech communication at CAC, explained, “they are more likely to be successful in their classes, get into the classes they want, complete their degrees on time, and avoid last-minute hassles.”
Some of these last-minute hassles include missing the first day of class and being put on a waitlist - the latter recently implemented by CAC in lieu of course overrides.
For students registering using CAC’s online student services, open classes will be available for enrollment until midnight prior to the first day of the semester. After that, students must register in-person and must do so prior to the first meeting of the class.
For more information regarding On Time Registration, please contact an academic advisor by phone at your local CAC campus or center, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.Inquiries regarding a student’s account must originate from the student’s CAC email account and must include their student ID number.
