CAC partners with Copper Basin YMCA, Fry’s, UPS Stores in San Tan area to increase accessibility
June 18, 2009
PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Exit the Fry’s Food & Drug Store in Johnson Ranch and near the newspaper stand sits a rack with information about Central Arizona College.
Ship a package through the UPS Stores on Hunt Highway and a picking up a 2009 CAC class schedule is as easy as making a 180-degree turn at the counter.
And visit the Copper Basin YMCA, and the CAC display and racks have become a fixture for the community to gather information.
Central Arizona College has partnered with these high-traffic San Tan businesses to offer information stands where residents from Anthem to Johnson Ranch to Queen Creek pick up materials about the college.
The locations help extend CAC’s San Tan Center outreach along the Hunt Highway Corridor while helping the center become a community destination and an important neighbor.
The UPS Stores are owned and operated by Jimmy and Teresa Severson who have one location at the shopping center at Anthem and the other at the commercial center at Johnson Ranch – a few doors down from Fry’s.
The Copper Basin YMCA is located in the center of the Copper Basin neighborhood off of Copper Mine Road.
