Registration for vendors/exhibitors now taking place for 34th Annual Pinal-Gila Senior Fair & Fiesta
February 16, 2009
PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – In less than a month, Central Arizona College’s Signal Peak Campus will transform into a desert flotilla of handmade arts and crafts when the 34th Annual Pinal-Gila Senior Fair & Fiesta returns to the institution.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and will feature crafts handmade by Arizona senior adults and winter visitors age 50 and older. Admission and parking are free.
The senior fair also will feature musical entertainment, food booths, health information and screenings and raffle prizes with all net proceeds designated for the Meals on Wheels program located in Pinal and Gila counties.
Registration for vendors and exhibitors is taking place through Feb. 27 and is limited to the first 100 spaces reserved. The fee is $30 per table with nonprofit exhibitors paying a discount fee of $20 per table. All vendors must have an Arizona Sales Tax License.
Each table is eight feet long by three feet wide (8x3). Vendors and exhibitors must bring their own chairs and are responsible for table covers and signs identifying their goods. Registrants also will be required to set up their own materials and coordinate their own monetary transaction.
Goods sold at the senior fair are hand-made items or home-baked breads, pastries, snacks and sweet foods. Food that is mass produced and commercial items are not permitted to be sold.
Vendors selling items at the senior fair must be at least 50 years of age, while there is no age restriction for exhibitors who wish to display information and products.
Exhibitors and vendors may enter the campus beginning at 7 a.m. with set up taking place from 7-9 a.m. Volunteers will provide unloading and parking directions until 9 a.m.
