Voices of Spring, A High School Invitational, plays The Pence Saturday, May 2, at 7 p.m.

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – The Central Arizona College annual Voices of Spring, A High School Invitational, concert featuring the CAC College and Jazz choirs and area high school singers will take place this Saturday, May 2, at 7 p.m.
 
The event will be held in the Don P. Pence Center for Visual and Performing Arts located on the Signal Peak Campus between the cities of Coolidge and Casa Grande.
 
Tickets for the show are $5. Central Arizona College students with a CAC ID card will be admitted at no charge.
 
Advance tickets may be purchased through this Friday by calling the CAC Cashier’s Office at 520-494-5225 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Advance tickets also may be purchased in person at the Cashier’s Office in Building M (Clock Tower) on the Signal Peak Campus during the same hours.
 
Tickets will be available the day of the show, but guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. The event is co-sponsored by the CAC Community Events Office and the Creative Arts Division.
 
“In addition to the College Choir and Jazz Choir performances, Santa Cruz High School and Casa Grande Union High School have accepted an invitation to perform as well,” Dr. Eva Mae Pisciotta, CAC’s director of choral activities, said. “The CAC Choral group will be performing classical music as well as gospel and spirituals. We also will be performing selections from the musical South Pacific.”
 
The event will feature performers from Arizona, around the United States, and even abroad. The city of Casa Grande will be well represented as local performers Alicia M. Behrens, Dannette Carey, Lyn Schmiedel, Jennifer Dewey, Priscilla Guevara, Courtney McVey, Archie Carreon, Nicholas Manriquez, Andrew Montano and Sarah Day take the stage at The Pence.
 
Carey is a graduate of Desert Wind and a veteran performer of many Central Arizona College plays and musical performances, while Dewey, Guevara, McVey, Carreon, Manriquez, Montano and Day call Casa Grande Union High School their alma mater.
 
Other local performers include three Florence High School graduates in Mirranda Faith Spurlock, Arianna Rivera and Edward Queen, as well as Coolidge High School graduate Jacob Sosa.
