More than 75 vendors at Senior Fair
COOLIDGE, Ariz. – People looking for arts and crafts will find a variety at the 33rd Annual Pinal Gila Senior Fair and Fiesta Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Arizona College’s Signal Peak Campus.
The fair will feature more than 75 vendors offering handmade crafts and home-baked breads and pastries. Various exhibitors will be on hand demonstrating products and services for senior adults. Food booths will be selling burritos, hamburgers, hot dogs, fry bread, and Navajo tacos.
Entertainment includes the Central Arizona College Jazz Band at 9:30 a.m., the Central Arizona College Jazz Choir at 10:30 a.m., The Arthur Murray Dance Group at 11:30 a.m., and the Mariachi Ramon Acuña at 12:30 p.m.
Vendors are donating raffle prizes. Visitors can buy vendor raffle tickets at the fair. In addition, the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens is selling $1 raffle tickets to win a 47-inch HDTV LCD flat screen television from the Wal-Mart Distribution Center, a desktop personal computer and a gift basket valued at $150 from Harrah’s AkChin Casino and Resort. Raffles benefit the Meals on Wheels program in Pinal and Gila counties.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Pinal-Gila Council’s Senior Foundation, the Central Arizona College Foundation and the Dorothy Powell Senior Center.
The Pinal Gila Senior Fair and Fiesta is sponsored by the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens, Central Arizona College and the City of Casa Grande. Admission is free.
Central Arizona College is located at 8470 North Overfield Road, Coolidge. Take I-10 to exit 190, proceed east, turn left on Overfield Road, which will take you directly into the entrance of Central’s Signal Peak Campus.
