Join RV park, adult community listserve
PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – With winter visitors scurrying about the valley taking advantage of the beautiful weather, Central Arizona College is looking to partner with the activity directors and owners of area recreational vehicle parks and adult communities in a mutually beneficial, cost-free way.
The Central Arizona College RV/Adult Community E-mail Distribution List has been developed as a tool to inform both winter visitors and year-round residents about the variety of activities available at the institution’s nine centers and campuses.
“We created this distribution list with the goal of informing our residents and winter guests about the many free and low-cost activities taking place at Central Arizona College,” Teresa Verbout, Central’s director of public information and marketing, said. “Members receive the same press releases that are distributed to the media and to our other community distribution lists. So far it has been a really positive partnership with the community.”
One reason the list idea evolved was the request by winter visitors to stay informed even though they were headed back north to their summer homes.
Joining the list is easy and free. Activity directors, RV park owners, and even individuals from these neighborhoods, simply need to send an e-mail request to Tom Di Camillo (firstname.lastname@example.org), Central’s media relations director, requesting to be added.
“We don’t sell the lists or disclose the information to any outside entity,” Verbout explained. “And we are not in the business of producing SPAM. We simply want to inform our local community of the many programs and opportunities available at Central Arizona College.”
With its nine campuses and centers spread throughout Pinal County, Central offers an eclectic schedule of special events, continuing and community education classes, cultural arts, entertainment productions and college athletic contests for everyone.
