Professor of Drama Cass Foster looking for community help to solve an Agatha Christie mystery

August 18, 2008

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Central Arizona College’s professor of drama is calling on the community to help solve a legendary mystery.

This fall Cass Foster will unveil Agatha Christie’s long-running whodunit The Mousetrap inside the Don P. Pence Center for Visual & Performing Arts Oct. 24-26 on Central’s Signal Peak Campus.

Solving the mystery requires a local casting call for actors, backstage help and technicians for the event.

“Actors do not need to come with anything prepared,” Foster said of the auditions. “The auditions are open to students as well as the community. They consist of reading short scenes from the play with ample opportunity to reread a scene if the actor feels they didn’t show their best side the first time.”

Anyone interested in auditioning for a part or in working behind the scenes should contact Foster by phone (520-494-5396) or e-mail ( as soon as possible.
